Why do I need a user name and password?
The user name and password you select will allow you to access your business profile
to make changes to your business profile such as phone number, e-mail address, etc.
What is the security question?
This is a prompt you select to help you remember what your password is. You are
able to make up your own security question.
What if I have more than one business in my name?
You can enter multiple businesses using the same username and password. Simply select
the ‘Register New Business’ option at the top of the Register/Update Business page
and enter the new business profile information. When you log in, you will be able
to select from the businesses you have registered.
I served in more than one branch or period; which one do I choose?
This is entirely up to you! The database will only allow for one branch of service
or period of service to be entered, so please select one.
My registration will not go through, what do I do?
Several of the fields in the registry are considered ‘mandatory’. These fields are
marked with an asterisk *. Please ensure that you have entered information in these
fields prior to clicking on the ‘register/update’ button.
If you click the ‘register/update’ button and your registration is not successful,
look for red error messages at the top of the registration page.

How do I search?
You can search using as few as one of the search fields, or all of the search fields
to locate veteran/servicemember owned businesses.
Simply enter your criteria into one or more fields and click on ‘Search’.
Can I search for more than one field?
Yes, enter information in as many fields as you would like and click on ‘Search’.
Can I view all veteran owned businesses at once?
No, you must enter at least one search criteria. For example, you could select all
businesses in a particular county, or all businesses that start with a certain letter.
What is a UBI?
The Unified Business Identifier is sometimes called a registration, tax, "C", or
resale number. It is a nine-digit number used to identify persons engaging in business
activities.
Where can I find my UBI?
The easiest way is to ask your accounting department, they should have access to
the UBI number.
If you registered your business after January 2, 1987, your UBI number is printed
on the Master Business License issued by the Department of Licensing. If you registered
your business before 1987, your number is printed on your Certificate of Registration
. Your UBI number also appears on the mailing label of your Combined Excise Tax
Return.
You can also search for your UBI at:
http://dor.wa.gov/content/doingbusiness/registermybusiness/brd/
Why does my search have no results found?
Because no businesses fit the criteria you selected in your search. Please try your
search again using fewer or different search criteria.
