The Veteran/Service Member Owned Business Registry was established by SB 5253 during the 2007 Legislative Session.
Your Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs is committed to promoting Veteran/Servicemember Owned Businesses. This Registry is one way that our state and its citizens can honor you by promoting your business and its products and services statewide.
Here’s how –
- Government Agencies and Corporations will have access to a statewide list of Veteran/Servicemember Owned Businesses for contracting opportunities.

Individuals and families will have easy access to a list of Veteran/Servicemember Owned Businesses in their communities.
In addition to providing this comprehensive list of Veteran/Servicemember Owned Businesses in Washington State, business owners will also receive a decal that will identify their business as Veteran/Servicemember Owned! After you successfully register your business, you can print a Veteran/Servicemember Owned Business Decal display in your business office(s). You can also download the decal to use on your business letterhead, website and other promotional materials. The registration process also allows you to request that a window-cling decal be mailed to you.
