With the support of Washington’s Veterans Community, WDVA requested and received state and federal authorization and funding to construct our first State Veterans Cemetery.

A State Veterans Cemetery will fill a significant gap in services for nearly 140,000 veterans living in Eastern Washington, and their families. It will provide a valuable service already available to veterans residing in Western Washington.

Construction Update

NOVEMBER
•  Construction continues at a very good pace.
• The Columbarium Walls will be in place by the end of this week
• Framing of the Admin / PIC begins on Wednesday this week
• Framing of the Committal Shelter starts just after the Admin / PIC
• Surrounding hills and mounds are to grade and awaiting top soil and finish gradeing
