CHAMPVA

VA Clothing Allowance eligibility:

Any Veteran who is rated for a service-connected disability for which he or she uses prosthetic or orthopedic appliances (including wheelchairs) may receive an annual clothing allowance. Must be either metal or rigid!

The allowance also is available to any Veteran whose service-connected skin condition requires prescribed medication that irreparably damages the Veteran's outer garments.

To Apply for VA Clothing allowance use VA form 10-8678.
This form is sent to the Prosthetics Division of the Veteran’s local VA hospital. 
Best to turn in Form by first week of JUNE.
This VA benefit form must be completed each year.
The current allowance amount is $716.
