As part of the their campaign to end veteran homelessness by 2015, the Federal VA offers a wealth of resources such as:

• Federal VA - Homless Veterans Services
• The National Call Center for Homeless Veterans hotline 
  (1-877-4AID-VET), which offers help from trained responders
  twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week for Veterans who are homeless or at risk of losing their homes, and their families and friends.
