Veterans Conservation Corps Internship Program Mission: Provide veterans and their families with self-directed connections to our state’s natural resources.


Desired Outcomes for VCC Interns

  • Veteran interns take the initiative to create a self-directed internship experience
  • Given the opportunity to do meaningful hard work in conserving their natural resources and seeing the results of their efforts, veteran interns realize their own self-efficacy and innate ability to overcome their own personal challenges
  • Veteran interns establish and/or maintain a healthy connection with nature and their community
  • Veteran interns realize a positive shift in their mental, emotional, and/or physical well-being
  • Veteran interns acquire skills and experiences that may help them in finding meaningful employment
