WA SOLDIERS HOME

Washington Soldiers Home and Colony, located on 181 acres in the beautiful Puyallup Valley near Orting, serves residents needing skilled-nursing care.

Established in 1891, this was the first of three homes built for Washington state veterans. More of our history is available in our Historical Summary 1891-1991

The Soldiers Home serves veterans in a quaint rural setting. Each summer residents and family members enjoy the annual family picnic with fun and games for all ages.
