The Lewis Army Museum is hosting a Vietnam 50th Anniversary Commemoration event on 11 August from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The intent of the event is to commemorate the service and sacrifices of the veterans of Vietnam by providing an event around which veterans can interact with one another and the public. We will be showcasing Vietnam War displays including a Navy Riverine Patrol Boat (PBR), Vietnam era helicopters, and other period vehicles. We will also have reenactors displaying period uniforms, weapons, and equipment.
Our public access parking lot will be open which allows non-DoD ID card holders to come straight to the museum without having to go through the JBLM Visitor's Center (map attached).
