Do more TOGETHER, AMPLIFY your impact
The King County Veterans Consortium and the Veterans Training Support Center are co-producing a combined arms veterans summit on January 28th, 2019 to bring our ecosystem under one tent for a day of knowledge sharing and alignment. It will not be your typical VSO showdown as we will leverage subject matter experts to convene intimate circles to share capacity building in areas of interest (i.e. engaging minority veterans, supporting veteran entrepreneurs, how to plan an impactful service projects, VSOs as system pathfinders, conflict resolution and peer support techniques, the role of the veteran service officer, veterans as civic leaders, affinity groups, engaging senior veterans, using technology to increase your impact, etc.)
We envision this to be an annual state of the King County Veteran with updates on trends in our system and combining forces to support every organization’s individual mission as we move together with increased flow, clarity, and camaraderie. Also simply to get face to face with sector leadership through leadership turnover, combine forces for special projects, and as a special forum to celebrate our champions and honor life transitions.
We will have subject matter experts, change-makers, service providers, elected, and organizational leadership from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, King County, the King County Veterans Program, the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs, Educational Institutions, Minority & Tribal Veterans Representatives, Arts & Healing Organizations, Civic & Private Sector force multipliers, Housing, Legal, & Senior Social Service Warriors, Veteran Philanthropy, Tech, Faith, and any sector leader that stands the watch the service members, veterans, survivors, and families in King County.
Join us as our rich veteran ecosystem evolves towards a model empowerment and support through hubs of cross-sector partnership and intentional impact.
