King County Veterans Services
WDVA contracts with King County Veterans Services to provide programs and services to King County Veterans and their Families.
1. Homeless Services
Address the needs of homeless veterans in King County by identifying and targeting for services, eligible veterans who are homeless or are at risk of homelessness and not currently using available services. Services provided may include:
- Emergency financial assistance
- Housing assistance
- Employment guidance and assistance
- Case management
- Life stability
- Veterans' benefits counseling
- Mental health referrals
- Other supportive services
2. Financial and Housing Support Services
Determine eligibility for housing, financial assistance, and supportive service needs of eligible veterans. Provide referrals to other crisis intervention services, e.g. alcohol/drug counseling, low-income housing, family counseling and job training.

4. Military Family Outreach
Provides prevention and intervention strategies for those most at-risk and in need to reduce or prevent homelessness.
5. King County Funded Veterans Treatment Court
The Veterans Treatment Court focuses on treatment and rehabilitation rather than incarcerations for low-level, non-violent offenders. The Veterans Treatment Court connects eligible veterans to treatment and counseling services available through the US Department of Veterans Affairs.
6. King County Funded Training and Support Center
Educational training opportunities prepared by educators, authors, treatment professionals, veterans, and trainers with specialty skills in assessment and treatment of PTSD, TBI and a range of military and veterans related trauma and homecoming concerns.
