Veterans Day - November 11th
- There is not a Veterans Day event at the cemetery. The cemetery office is closed and no services are scheduled. The grounds are open for visitation from 8:00am until sunset.
Wreaths Across America® recognizes the importance of remembering our fallen heroes, honoring those who serve, and teaching our children and others about the sacrifices made by veterans and their families to preserve our freedoms. This annual ceremony will honor veterans and family members interred at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery. The service is open to the community, after which guests are invited to assist with pacing wreath on individual gravesites.
Wreaths placed on graves are only possible through the generosity of public donations. WDVA collaborates with the Ladies and Gentlemen of the Washington State Veterans Cemetery, a registered 501c3, on event planning and public donations. To sponsor a $15 wreath for the Medical Lake Veterans Cemetery please use the following link: https://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/pages/14984/Overview/?relatedId=0&modSw=donate and enter Sponsoring Group ID WA0011 and Location WAWSVC or contact Joyce Durrant at 509-928-1189, email@example.com.
