PATRIOT DAY - A Day of Remembrance
On September 11, 2019 a special ceremony will be held at 5:15pm on the lawn and steps of the Grant County Courthouse. The American Legion Post 28 and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28 wish to remind everyone that as we go about our lives – young members of our armed forces are fighting the war on terrorism in countless ways. Just as veterans of earlier generations, today’s men and women in uniform understand our precious freedoms come at a very high price. We also have men and women of our Ambulance, Fire, Police, and Sheriff’s Departments who give of themselves everyday to help protect our freedoms.
“Patriot Day” should be a day of remembrance, honoring those who, along with their families, give of themselves 24 – 7 being on the alert to protect and serve. We hope you’ll mark your calendar now and join us in this little way of honoring and saying thank you to those that give of themselves everyday so we can enjoy our freedoms.
Please help us energize our communities to remember our freedoms and the sacrifices made, and still being made, to ensure we enjoy those freedoms. Spread the word to allocate time for attending the Patriot Day Ceremony, 5:15pm, Grant County Courthouse, on Sept. 11, 2019.
