Connie O'Brien-Larsen
Connie O’Brien Larsen is the Southwest WA Peer Specialist for the WDVA. She has achieved a Bachelor of Science in History from Portland State University, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Development from Warner Pacific University and is currently finishing her Master’s degree in Human Services. She is married to a First Nations Vietnam combat Veteran who has retired from the US Army. Connie spent three years as a Vet Corps Navigator at Lower Columbia College before becoming a Vet Corps Regional Coordinator and has worked in a number of government positions to include the US Forest, National Park, and Postal Services. Connie’s passion for suicide prevention stems from the loss of close friends to suicide starting at the young age of 13 and continues the work in their name.
