Jen Prewitt

Jen Prewitt is the Region 1 Peer Specialist working with Service Members, Veterans, and their families in the community to recognize the warning signs of suicide. Jen believes that teaching the community how to identify, understand, and be ready to support someone who may be at risk, will help reduce suicide. Jen is a Certified Peer Counselor and provides training and resources by collaborating with community organizations in her region. She hopes that teaching through her own lived experience will be a powerful tool to creating a strong and authentic peer support network. She served in the armed forces as a Behavioral Health Specialist from 2007-2015, with one tour of duty in Afghanistan. She has 6 years as a Public Servant in Washington State. Jen is incredibly passionate about the work being done after losing military comrades to suicide in the years after returning home.
